As the bandleader and composer of my own quintet, I would describe it as such:
From jagged odd-meter grooves to twisted bebop lines and 12-tone detours, Zoé’s Big Mess Ensemble celebrates diversity and musical messiness. Playing only original compositions, this quintet embraces the unexpected, offering a musical experience that’s truly “all over the place”, in the best possible way.

Self-employed

At the AMR (Association pour l’encouragement de la Musique Improvisée) in Geneva, I am actively involved both as a musician and as part of the association’s structures. I play concerts, organize and take part in workshops, and contribute to collective projects around jazz and improvised music. I am also engaged in the ComEga (the diversity department), where I work on making the association more accessible and inclusive, addressing questions of equality, representation and community life.
