I believe in learning by playing. Music theory is important, but I like to integrate it into the lessons, instead of treating it as a separate thing. I think playing the piano should be first and foremost something enjoyable, not a chore. Everyone should be given the chance to play the kind of music they enjoy, in order to find the best possible motivation for learning.
