These often turn out to be much more useful than mere distractions. For example, while I was preparing a piece for percussion I tried to read and deepen the scores and writings of Laban (an important German and British dance artist, choreographer and dance theorist) from whom I developed several fundamental things for my piece.

I would like to work on acoustic production techniques, through the knowledge of the instrument or listening to musicians and improvisers. Relationship and listening to spaces and the articulation of "forms". Relationship with the digital world and field recordings: by recording the world, with any recording device, we bring it back to the instruments. Practice in duos, with me.

Formal improvisational music - acoustic production techniques

I started playing and imitating other music. Later I studied drums and around the age of 14, I started studying percussion instruments at the conservatory in my city. At the same time, I studied with jazz drummers, such as Greg Hutchinson, and jazz harmony (Master's Degree in Percussion).

Towards the end of my studies, I got into improvised music and electro-acoustic music that I kept in my practice. After completing my studies, after a few years, I decided to start studying composition. I studied privately in a collective way with the composer Giorgio Netti. Now I'm in Basel and I'm studying for a bachelor's with Johannes Caspar Walter.

I tried to have heterogeneous training by playing and studying different musical styles, different eras and different languages. I played with many musicians around Italy and Europe, trying to gain experience in various fields.

Among the most important I can mention having been part of the Wind Orchestra of Ferentino in which my interest in composition and orchestration was greatly fueled. I have composed music for small jazz ensembles and have experience with big bands. I got to write music for improvisational collectives. Also, I compose contemporary/avant-garde jazz music as a solo project and within other Italian artistic realities.
